Biography

The first of the merfolk to emerge from Leviathan’s Trench is said to be the male barring the namesake of the clan. It is unknown what dark corner of the depths he came from, or when exactly he came about, but it is known that he settled in the tidepools of the Tsunami Flats and stayed there. Having a penchant for song, the angler-bearers developed a deep, bellowing call in order to communicate with each other, and the sea creatures around them. The Sirens mate for life with their own, and the pairs will create a special song with one another. When one half of the pair passes, the only song the other will sing anymore is this “swan song”. The sirens are larger than the standard Veilspun, but their wings have not developed to adapt to that change in size, as they rarely use the wings for anything but fins. Similar to their parent species, these Veilspun will commune peacefully amongst their entire subspecies if they are able to, finding comfort in singing together, and burrowing tunnels connecting the different freckling tidepools across the beach. The Sirens will avoid combat unless they are with their clan, then defensive combat as a team is their preference. They are territorial of their wade pools, but specifically against other dragons unless they have adopted you into their clan.
