They couldn't possibly fail. Not again.

Incubation time ticking. The paler egg of the pair cries, while the other wobbles. The wobbling egg cracks, until the clone was crawling out from egg shell and white.

A light flickers, an alarm blares, alerting a hatch. A dragon in a lab coat rushes to the sight.

The red and white hatchling was eating its sibling's eggshell. The scientist separates them.

It would be a monster.
