Gerrick

[WIP; 1st draft]

Having been named before arriving at The Nebula, Gerrick hails from a long line of noble show-dragons and warriors. He was being given to other clans in a plan to establish ties throughout a wide variety of clans via blood connections. This project was being dispersed across all of Sornieth, and it eventually found its way to Leafy and Bittyboo. Leafy's penchant for taking in new hatchlings and Bittyboo's open-minded nature combined to pave the way for Gerrick to join The Nebula.

Even after Gerrick had seemingly settled into his new nest and organized his things, it took him a little while to open up to the other hatchlings. Since he was still used to the stiff nature of showmanship and presentation, he often recited phrases from memory rather than risk using his own words in the heat of conversation. The writers took to it very well, however; rather than questioning his word choice or shunning him as "odd", they welcomed him into their little circle of artistry and even recorded some of the things he said to use in their scripts.

Having grown up, he's not only still eloquent, but he's more creative, too! He still draws from an internal script in conversation, but now he has a larger script to choose from, and it shifts like the ebb and flow of the tides. With his clanmates by his side, he's sure to never run out of ideas for words and phrases to use. Aside from that, his former stilted manner from hatchlinghood has gotten more relaxed. Poised as he may think he is, he's still known for his occasional moments. Stiff movements and relaxed surroundings don't mix very well, as it turns out, and his slip-ups caused him to hide under the nearest pair of wings (whether or not they were his) and it'd take a lot of coaxing to get him out from his hiding spots. He's still easily embarrassed, but with Blu's help, he's begun to learn how to laugh it off rather than dwell on it for too long. This born showdragon also enjoys auditioning for roles in the clan's local plays; he hasn't gotten a leading role yet, but that's not going to stop him from continuing to try his best! It seems like he's having fun with the side character and narrator roles, anyhow.
