Ume

Ume was born in a special garden, that only those with a pure heart my enter. She has grown with the flowers, for she is at least half cherry blossom. It is the way her kind has always been.

She lives in one of the many forgotten worlds that dragons no longer enter. Hanakatoba is where she calls home, and it is where she has always called home. Such the same as her Mother, and her Mother before her. The Hana dragons have no desire to leave.

They are peaceful dragons, and have lost touch with the outside world. Weary travelers used to visit this place, human and dragon alike, but with so few of a pure heart around, this sacred place has turned to myth.

Ume's mother was also named Ume, and so was the one before, and before that. The Ume Mother, as is often called, is what keeps the garden alive. Not only does she tend to the flowers there, she holds all the magic. She is a queen to the Hana dragons, and she rules well. With her leadership, the flowers in the garden are as bloomed as ever.

The bigger the bloom on the flowers, the more magic there is .

The Ume is so connected to the flowers, that she is a part of them. One cannot live without the other, and the Hana dragons cannot live without her. She has two consorts, and hopes to lay a nest soon. She needs to give birth to the next Ume, for the garden is lost without one to tend to the gardens.
