Umbra was exiled by her old clan after hurting another dragon that was constantly provoking and bullying her - having had a lower rank though she took the fall for it instead of her bully. So she had to search for a new home and along the way she met Emberspirit and joined her. While it took her quite a while to trust her new companion she did end up letting her walls down after she fell in love with Emberspirit.
Umbra will at first seem like someone you might want to avoid, due to her being a very brutal warrior, but she's definitely not someone to fight unfairly. Honesty, loyalty and fairness are actually very important to her, making her both a good friend and partner in battle. Nevertheless her trust is not easily earned and while she won't be outright mean to someone new, she will definitely be cautious around them at first.
