Biography
A delightfully devious shiver gently caressed the skin he called his own, the hotel gently taking him into a hallucinatory trance. The eyes that were littered across his wings began to blink, as in disbelief themselves.
Once, the building was lively with souls who joyously danced and drank, ate, and laughed. A place where the higher-ups were safe in their augmented reality, away from the horrors that shadowed those less fortunate than themselves. They adored the life of ignorant bliss, unaware of those below them. For, how could anyone else matter?
But since they turned a blind eye, they never caught the revolting. The angry pleas for change, the unhappy dragons that were struggling day to day. And so, without looking back, the building was lit into beautifully tormented flames by those who felt no remorse for those they would inevitably hurt with their actions. The dragons on the bottom of the food chain would rather everyone lose rather than let the despicable creatures who tore at their skin win these sick little games.
Everyone in the area turned to anarchy.
He'd heard stories of those who'd perished here, of those who commit crimes and used the abandoned building to hide, of those who strived to be away from the societal pressures that just came with existing. But he'd never thought the building would play it out for him. Weaving its way through his thoughts, his wants, and his desires, to show him what the place was capable of. The hotel was a moratorium on pain. It was for the ones who didn't want to live alongside the world they were currently in. An artificially built alternate reality, if you will.
It seemed the place had been cursed to never fully be in the timeline it existed in. It was always to be used as an escape for the needy. And now it would be his escape.
