As the sun settled across the frosted wasteland the stirring of the critters within the land came to a halt, a silence so eerie that the very noises echo throughout it.. it was a silence she liked, the noise of chatter dying. the only time she could feel at rest, she liked walking through her woods when the sound of her steps only could be heard.
' ' peace ' '
and then. . . a wail broke that silence. . . , she paused as deer bolted in a panicked frenzy. Their calls of danger quenching the cries, standing there she listened for the direction of whom broke the silence she once owned. One step at a time she followed the tracks of the deer who fled. . . . In the clearing layed a Coatl. Its once silky brown fur was now drenched in red, its eyes covered in a white haze. it was no longer here. For it was not the one who made such a noise, it was the youngling by its side. As she stepped foward, the crunch of the snow made the hatchling's head snap to face her. Backing itself against its now death ridden caretaker. It seemed to gain some courage as it spoke " are you here to help her? " its voice quivering each word it said.

She said blankly after a long pause, the hatchling's hopefull expression dropped. It slowly raised its head, attempting to keep a straight look " a-are you j-just here to finish me off?..."' ' no ' ' [W. I. P. ] .................  |
