You feel it pressing in, a choking, thick pitch black as it seeps into your eyes, into your mouth. You start to run and scream into the encroaching darkness, but your voice is muffled by the viscous black ink that envelops you. You know you are not alone. Something breathes, cool and wet, down the back of your neck. You spin, reaching out to touch something, anything, yet the air is empty. As the darkness squeezes the breath out of your lungs, a laugh echoes through the abyss.
You freeze.
They are here.
You have to find a way out. There has to be a way out. Where is it?
Please I need to see, let me see.
You scrape at your eyes, trying in vain to pull the pitch black out. You scrape and tear and pull, grasping at any tendril you find.
As you cry to the monsters just out of sight, a whisper brushes against your ears,
"You are mine"
