Nisha

[WIP; 1st draft]

Nisha was already an adult when she joined The Nebula by choice. Seeking out a more temperate place to live, she travelled North to the Astrolodome for food, shelter, and the advice of the local scholars. Even more quiet than what Faes are usually known for, she became a small, mysterious presence amidst the usual hustle and bustle of the city that lie beneath the glimmering glass.

Since her old clan refused to move to even a slightly warmer climate, she was forced to search for a new clan if she was going to move. Solitarily, she milled about the city, looking for fledgling clans to join and perhaps an arcane secret or two to uncover amidst the dusted tomes and floating scrolls of the public library sanctums. She spent the better part of two days combing through various books in search of knowledge that would make her magic stronger, and eventually stumbled upon an uncommon subject that she had always been interested in: inks and lettering. She immediately bought herself an inking kit with what treasure she brought with her in order to survive, and set to work practicing her penmanship according to the texts.

By coincidence, Leafy was taking Blu and Shelly to the Astrolodome for the day in search of new books that day. With her sprawling setup reaching all the way across a large table, it didn't take long for the younger dragons to spot her. Shelly and Blu were quick to ask if she was an author, to which Nisha had no idea how to respond to and was further perplexed by the brilliant teal Coatl, who surely couldn't understand her speech regardless. The eldest of the three, Leafy, stepped up to greet her and quiet his hatchlings down so that she could speak. He turned out to be a skillful interpreter of Fae humming, and passed along Nisha's messages to the dragonets with concise and accurate phrases (well... as accurate as he could've been, considering that they had just met and therefore didn't know each other's body language very well).

After an entertaining discussion about books and calligraphy and the history of runes and the materials that were originally used to make them, Leafy brought up that he was starting a clan, and that he was on the lookout for more members to help with the daily hunting, gathering, and crafting processes. Nisha saw an opportunity to find a home that would suit her, and took it; she asked if he would have her as a clanmate despite their recent acquaintance. He accepted her offer with open arms, and has become a beacon of artistry in the clan ever since.
