Marigold

Marigold says very little, the soft clunking of armour and the smell of sun-baked flowers heralds her arrival instead. She is a Paladin of the Seasons, a dragon chosen by the Gladekeeper to embody a weather. This skydancer brings the steady warmth of Summer to clans in need, making the nights short and pale and the day long and bright. Like the season, she can be unbending and intense, bringing droughts and burning up plants for weeks on end, but her powers dampen after August- and she simply becomes a big warm presence to nest next to.

Crickets and locusts follow Marigold with glee, her Plague roots and Summer aura irresistible. With a kind yet detached disposition, not every beast or dragon she meets enjoys her company. For many Earth dragons, Summer is a punishing, arid heat, and they would drive her out if she ever came to offer her services. But here in Lychee's clan, balance and natural cycles are greatly respected- she makes her home here in the months she isn't being called to spread the sunshine.

Paladins of the Seasons aren't responsible for each season happening, they simply have the power to exaggerate the weather to clans who find themselves in a bad bout of rain, snow, or heat.
