Crushed Petals
An old bogsneak who, together with their partner, Toxie, lives in the deep woods of the Purring Winds' gardens. Oriphiel is, even by most dragon standards, an extremely ancient dragon, there when the first modern dragons were being born- being one of them. Though they have lived an extraordinarily long life (or perhaps, because they have lived an extraordinarily long life), they are rather youthful in spirit. They refuse to involve themselves in the politics of the upper echelons of the clan, preferring to spend their life doing what they enjoy; gardening and cultivating the flora and fauna in the gardens together with Toxie.

Oriphiel is also an extraordinary fighter, and is always more than happy to train young dragons in the art of battle. Though they themself are mostly retired from the fighting lifestyle (only occasionally setting out to keep their skills sharp), they are more than happy to pass their knowledge on to the younger generations. Though this does not just apply to fighting, with their age, they remember many of the important events that shaped Sornieth as it is today, and, if asked, doesn't mind speaking on it.

Oriphiel is quirky and lively, speaking in rhymes and moving around in erratic, sometimes strange ways. This can sometimes be off-putting to those who don't expect it, but that doesn't bother them. Oriphiel simply aims to enjoy life... and, well, sometimes it is funny to see the reactions of outsiders. It's hard to say if it's an act or not; if one were to ask Toxie, she would simply smile and shake her head, neither confirming nor denying either.

A little-known fact about Oriphiel is that they are, for the most part, blind. They can make out vague shapes and colors, but nothing concrete. Despite this, they are deadly accurate with not only strikes in battle, but also in more mundane tasks such as watering plants, chopping wood, etc. They rely on senses other than sight alone, unlike most dragons. Because of this, the flowers surrounding their house are also chosen for their smell rather than their look.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

You find yourself in the gardens of the floating clan's territory.

The gardens are open to everyone, after all; even those who do not live in the Purring Winds get to visit the beautiful, lush flowerbeds and near forest-like treelines. Bamboo sprouts are everywhere, accented by the beautiful colors of azaleas, tulips, gardenias, and a myried of other flowers and plants. Truly, the garden is a sight to behold, and a popular spot for dragons passing by.

You are not here today to admire the gardens.

Instead, you turn to a treeline of dark-leafed bushes and pine trees, an almost shocking contrast to the rest of the vibrant garden. Compared to the rest of the garden, not very many dragons fancy this forest, finding it too dark and dreary to be enjoyable. Yet you, with even, determined steps, follow the path inside.

Soon, the edge of the forest disappears from your sight as you step inside, trees obscuring your vision when you look back. The path grows narrower and narrower, until it disappears altogether, leaving you to follow your own intuition, wading through bushes and thorny vines. The sound of something hitting wood reaches your ears, and you hurry your step.

Finally, light reaches your vision once more, and you find yourself at the edge of a clearing.

A wooden house decorated with the most wonderfully scented flowers, vines weaving between the windows and the walls stands in the middle of it. A thick, large, old tree grows through the roof, providing shade for both the house and the two dragons who sit beneath it; a vibrant orange bogsneak, chopping some wood, and a dark purple guardian with glowing eyes. Soon, they notice you, and wave you over.

"Well hello there, little whelp," the bogsneak sing-songs, a grin on their face, "how nice of you to come- did you need our help?"

With a relieved sigh, you nod your head.

"Yes please."

Exalting Oriphiel to the service of the Gladekeeper will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
