Biography

Libinia dubia, the Long-Nosed Decorator Crab, also known as the Long-Nosed Spider Crab. Decorator crabs are a polyphyletic group which get their name from their habit of covering themselves with bits of anything lying around, for camouflage. Sometimes L. dubia specifically can be found living inside jellyfish! Biologists still aren't exactly sure why this happens or what kind of relationship it is, though a good guess is that the jelly protects it from predators.
