May Lightweaver have mercy on your soul.” The council leader spoke, his voice nearly shaking the ground with the baritone growl. Odium stood; his chin lifted in defiance. Nostrils flared as he felt the shackles weigh heavy on his neck and limbs, jaw muzzled to prevent him from spitting more than just foul words. Odium shook his head slightly in frustration, the shackles making a racket as two Imperials approached. They released him, swords at his throat as they pressed him back from the council that had judged him. That had banished him. "Sit upon your throne while you can Tollen. You have made a foolish mistake following in the steps of an unfit King.” Odium hissed, baring pearly teeth and exposing golden incisors on the bottom, turning and moving away from the collected onlookers. By dusk, Odium had been escorted from the Sunbeam Ruins, abandoned at the edge of the Emperors Wake. Stepping out among the dark tangled vines and thorny brambles of The Tangled Wood, Odium attempted to seek refuge in in Wispwillow Grove. Only after moving past, driven out by the tricksters that considered his presence a dampening on their fun. Through Driftwood Drag, Odium found himself pressed to the edge of the Foxfire bramble. It didn’t take long before he was driven out entirely, Shadowbinder displeased at his presence among her rotted logs and glowing fungus. But it was Plaguebringer who allowed Odium to seek refuge among the rot and pustules of the Scarred Wasteland. Like a oozing sore of the dragon lands, she stepped forth and looked down upon Odium, judging him for not what he’d done but who he could be. “You were exiled, cast out like a sick hatchling too weak to survive the Icewarden’s bitter cold. Take those in who are the same, build them to be stronger. You have my blessing to take root in my contagion and build a clan that feeds off others like a well-loved parasite. But be warned, do not make me regret this choice. I do not give second chances.” With her words, Odium's eyes dimmed and warped, losing their Light and adopting the red tone of Plaguebringer's kin. He belonged to the Rot and Scar.
