Kayso's frail state has kept him away from the front lines, preferring long range combat and use of hunting buddies to aid him and his comrades. With the complicated relationship between Sylvari and Mordremoth, Kayso spent much of his life having it siphoned for the slumbering and eventually awakened dragon. As he was also not immune to the call, he eventually joined the Pact as they turned westward to slay it, desperately trying to keep his influence at bay in order to complete his wild hunt. Much of this constant back and forth has left him without much time to discover himself.

Born in the night cycle, Kayso often keeps to himself, which tends to lead others to believe he's doing perfectly okay ( and such things were not often the case ). Even the execution of Mordremoth has left his body in disrepair, and if at all, it may take decades to recover and regrow his strength. Until then, he relies on his bestiary and even Elias, whom he has a peculiar, but mutual, attachment to. Kayso's bond with his animal friends has allowed him to levy their strength as a Soulbeast, and is often trusted with reconnaissance for unfamiliar territory, especially whose terrain is difficult for mounts and people of all races.
