Shoal

This is a forgotten place.

This is a place where time seems to still. This is a place where the Stormcatcher's gaze doesn't reach.

Here, something prevents those trapped here from leaving.

First, it calls. Then, it takes.

Shoal was the first to discover this.

The discovery came with a price. No longer do ze live. However, neither is it true to say that ze died.

Ze is an oddity of sorts. A wraith, trapped in the liminal space; not quite dead, but no longer quite living.

In recent years, Ze has made another discovery. Others, trapped here. Others, who were lured in, who cannot leave.

Shoal is no Guardian. Ze have no obligation to gather others, to protect them.

However, it is what Shoal has chosen to do. Ze remains apart from most of the others, preferring to keep to the edges, to guide those who find themselves here by accident.

Who will not be able to leave.
