Ember
The fire representative of The Outcasts.
Ember was abandoned when she was only a fragile, tiny egg. She was left perched upon a stone plate at the Molten Scar while her clan moved to the Shifting Expanse.
Metalworkers noticed the lone egg sitting amongst the glowing lava and clashing stone. Knowing the value of an unhatched egg, they swooped in. The fighting that resulted was hideous. So many dragons, fueled by greed, brawling over something so small.
The fighting proved to be pointless. A fae dragon attempted to fly away with the egg in his claws, only to get hit by a strong puff of breath. His grip loosened, the egg slipping away from his reach and plummeting into the boiling lava below. Disappointed, the metalworkers left, returning to their homes.
A few days later, a young and dazed Ember emerged from the lava river near the Cinderslag. Those living in the rickety metal village showed no kindness to her. She was more molten rock than dragon, so they failed to recognise her as kin. She chose to try and find family elsewhere.
Ember met her partner Aquarius at the Churnscar Wharf. Ember bonded with Aquarius while talking to him about the Ashfall Waste. Aquarius' rich parents were snarky and harsh towards her, refusing to acknowlege her and give her shelter. Feeling bad for her, Aquarius snuck onto a boat with her at midnight and began to drift away. The small boat crashed on the edge of the Driftwood Drag, where they both met The Outcasts clan.
Today, Ember protects the hatchery. She is quite simple minded and owns a tinder toy familiar named "Lola" who she calls her daughter. But when the time comes, she can be serious and brave.
