And on the 7th day worm said, “WANT FRIEND!!!”

So Ratatouille was imbued with worm’s ancient essence, and he was Changed. At first, he barely noticed the shift; he felt about the same, and his limbs, pink tail, and wings all seemed to be in the right place. It took a few days, when he finally caught his reflection in a puddle, that Ratatouille finally recognized what was different… his proportions were off. Lifting a paw to his face, it was clear that despite retaining most of his size, he had been reverted to a younger form… that of a hatchling perhaps?

He didn’t really mind it all that much, for the High Attendants took extra care when around him. Something about “being blessed by the King”. Ratatouille wasn’t much bothered by the details of his transformation, as he was promptly delivered enough soup to bathe in any time he requested.

Life was good.
