Biography
A veritable cauldron of disease, churned by the Plaguebringer herself, to design and release experimental strains of never-ending calamity. Even the dragons who settle along the crater's edge stay clear of this pustule lake, wary that any contact could wipe them out, or turn them into something monstrous. |
One of the heads is entirely dead, just hangin limp and floppin around. One tail and wing too and half of their body is kinda numb and bumbly? They have a habit of walking in circles or dragging legs.
Coagulate is a pure bred Aberration. Born of two plagued dragons instead of being a monstrosity of the plague flights pool of horrors. His egg was the only surviving of the nest. When he hatched both heads were alive and more than healthy. Their names were Curai and Uyil. They were as close at two heads sharing a body could be and no closer. They could hear each others thoughts and would often sit glaring at each other as they fought internally. Eventually they learned to cooperate… for the most part. Those they spoke to had to be very direct to one head or the other or they would find themselves in the center of a very awkward brawl. They did not hate each other but they would have wanted to split if it were possible.
At some point in their late teens early whatever’s the two were attacked during a hunt. A wild mirror with dark liquid bubbling from their mouth and nose. The two managed to put the thing out of its misery with only a few scratches except they were bitten. A hunk had been torn from Uyil, just above his shoulder. Luckily the arteries in his neck were spared but as the wound festered with a black and green puss Uyil began to fear for his life.
It progressed quickly. Uyil begged for the past to be changed, for Curai to somehow have protected him. The two of them lost feathers, fur, scales. Uyil lost claws and teeth and his horns and bones became brittle. He began to snap at dragons he once loved and was suddenly unable to eat without sickness. He was weak and when bubbling dark crimson began to leak from his lips Curai knew he couldn’t be saved.
Curai killed what was left of his brother. This beast that growled and groaned in his voice and wore his skin. Uyil had asked to be spared with his brother claws around his throat.
The plague never spread to Curai. Instead he now lives with the corpse of his brother hanging of their once shared body. A constant reminder of what once was. He could have let him live, searched longer for a cure. Maybe the plague would have spread then but is that a fate worse than the one he chose?
After finding a clan that would have him he changed his name in an attempt to distance himself from the past. Too bad the past has more ways to torment him. His brothers voice, something that once only plagued him in dreams had bled into his waking world. A manifestation of his guilt? Uyil speaking to him truly as he did in their youth? Perhaps he’s gone completely mad.
