Biography

"i will fight you forever, my little sunflower--again and again until i conquer you; until the fire of your soul goes out and the light in your eyes is extinguished!" [affectionate]
-
His hand shot out from the black smoke of the blazing vehicle to seize her neck in his massive grip, entirely without regard to their freefall--both his own and Brun'ildh's. The rest of him emerged from the inky plume, almost shrugging it off behind him, and he triumphantly hefted his fellow, hated comrade.
Urthadar was a pillar of a man, oppressive even among the Enhanced. Predictably, that topic is what spurred their current spat, and it seemed as though he was hellbent on sentencing the both of them to a horrific death simply to make a point, to establish dominance. Everything he did was always to establish dominance, and it was this quirk that earned him his unsavory reputation.
"You're always trying to run, Brun'ildh," he said. Electricity arced from his clamped hand, all along his arm and all throughout the rest of his naked body. He was completely indifferent to his contact with the wiring and circuitry he had exposed while tearing through and apart his adversary's mode of transportation. "But I will always find you, no matter where you scurry off to."
Brun'ildh lashed back out again, if only to spite him as they both plunged at terminal velocity toward the endless expanse of desert she was forced to call home. With her neck in his unshakable grasp, she could not crane her neck to bite his hand off as she otherwise would have. She jerked in his grasp and he squeezed tighter, somehow managing to look down at her even though he held her aloft.
Another part of the wrecked, plummeting vehicle exploded just behind them, momentarily distracting Urthadar enough that he loosened his grip to steal a glance at what had just gone off, forgetting entirely that the entire aircraft was seconds away from crashing into an ocean of sand regardless of its current condition. The distraction was all Brun'ildh needed, and in a surprise, frantic flurry of motion she had kicked Urthadar off, throwing him off balance and allowing her to wrench free of his iron hold.
She heard the thud of him colliding backward and the rapid thumping upon the craft as he desperately clambered to regain his footing, and Urthadar had reoriented himself only just as his prey had triggered her musculoskeletal power array, surging with an overwhelming degree of power that afforded Urthadar no in to attack for his delayed response.
He was off in his reaction speed by a hair's breadth. Brun'ildh had kicked off the descending craft, now a mere couple hundred feet from the ground, and though the impact would have killed any lesser creature, her accursed enhancements allowed her to mostly drag herself away from the vitreous crater she had created with her unplanned, violent landing.
Behind her, the all-consuming roar and rush of an exploding vehicle that had - right to the very end - been absolutely filled to the brim with gas. The scorching air of its destruction washed over her in an all-consuming wave, but her hardened skin and wiry hair were no worse for it. Brun'ildh merely scowled at the devastation prematurely brought about by her vindictive peer, attempting to scan the site from afar and peer through the shimmering, blistering air.
She was right to remain wary and apprehensive. He was little more than a charred blur from where she sat recovering, no more crawling than dragging himself out from the twisted wreckage and the blaze attempting to subsume it. He desperately pawed about before him, the air too hot and caustic to open his eyes and see through. Urthadar hardly minded the flames licking at his skin, nor the fact that the ends of his fair smoldered. He was laughing, unhinged and insane, all the while.
