25414.png Luna always knew she was beautiful.

Now, as she looked in the mirror, she watched her mother's gentle talons paint her face for the Festival of the Stars, afraid of herself. She needed to be breathtaking. She needed to be artwork, a painting subtly disguised as a dragon. It would be the first time she could meet her suitors. The first time, in many, many years, that one of the King's beloved daughters would not just be a member of his family, but an heiress, as well. She would have to tread carefully.

She was beautiful, and she would have to use that to her advantage. She could only marry the finest suitor, the most handsome, a prince from the most rich and elegant of lands. And he would only notice her if she was just as stunning as he. Her family had less power in their claws, after the war.

The rest of her father's heirs had failed to restore that power, and one by one, they disappeared. She wasn't about to follow in their footsteps.
