Abere, meaning a demoness talked about in the mythic stories of Melanesia. She was born during the eclipse of the sun by the clouds. It is said that this was why she had such a bleak view on the world. She preferred to think of it as a view into realism. After all, day was only half of the passage of time. The other was night.
