street racing is a whole lot less dangerous when it’s you doing the racing. no metal scaffolding of a vehicle to crash, no magical batteries in the engine to destabilize. no clunky frame to manouvre through the winding canyons of Dragonhome; no white-hot Arcane trail (illegally modified, of course) to blaze your vehicle to unfathomable speeds. the worst that’ll happen is a broken bone, maybe two. no spectacular wipeouts and searing explosions to end your career.

so, of course, Lansat can’t just take the safe option, oh no.

truck racer though she is, you wouldn’t catch her (wouldn’t have caught her, what with the Errata’s current situation and all) doing anything quite illegal. she might be a speed demon, all right, but never let it be said she didn’t know every rule and regulation there is to know. she is quite aware of the dangers of racing proper vehicles; her track record is unblemished, and she clearly intends to keep it that way.

in nevada? the errata could do with a skilled driver and a sturdy vehicle, and, well, there are no laws, after all. so really, if she’s just a little too comfortable with high-speed chases and death-defying stunts— who’s asking?
