🙣 Nilane is an artist with a preference for oil paints.
🙣 He usually paints portraits or buildings and tries to tell the stories of these dragons or buildings with his art. In particular, he tries to paint images of the Revolution and the recovery process, often painting buildings that were damaged in the Revolution and have been repaired or patched up.
🙣 His paintings are relatively well-known within Kairos and he is often viewed as a quintessential artist of the Revolution.
🙣 He is extremely reserved, keeping to himself and he only really opens up if he is talking about his art.
🙣 Nilane is very sensitive to the emotions and feelings of those around him and goes out of his way to make others happy if he can.

🙣 Nilane was the son of wealthy politicians and grew up in the years leading up to the Revolution.
🙣 When his parents took Hestian as a servant, Nilane quickly fell for him. Though his parents were cruel, Nilane would ensure that Hestian slept next to him near the hearth so that he could stay warm.
🙣 Unlike his parents, Nilane recognized the injustice of the system that he was raised in. When revolution broke out, he was quietly supportive of it.
🙣 Nilane found out that Hestian was a spy for the Path of Fog, he helped him by passing on information from his parents and other visiting politicians. Eventually his parents figured out he was helping the revolution, and tricked him into giving up Hestian.
🙣 Though he was distraught when Hestian was executed, Nilane left his parents to help the Path of Fog until the end of the Revolution.
🙣 He settled into the Refuge as a respectable artist and lives a peaceful life with Hestian.
