Kasumi

Girl who's far too aware of her situation, while also being too observant. Holds no interest in dance or cosmetics (though she loathes to admit she loves nail polish) despite both her mothers being highly regarded in either.

Tall for her age. Has gray hair but she dyes it different colors, with two piercings in her right ear. Struggles asking others for help, and a bit of an emotional mess in private. Somewhat rude and aloof in public, but snarky with her friends, somehow managing to be popular among her class. Does not like that her mothers are not together despite their claims that they love her no matter what, pinky promise.

Though she initially disliked her half-sister, Michiko, Kasumi grew fond of her. After Kasumi had a fight with her mothers, Michiko came looking for her and said she wanted to hang out with Kasumi over her moms. Kasumi tearfully revealed that she didn't feel like she belonged in either family and that she's better off staying gone so the others could have a normal family. Michiko said that that's not true, and she actually finds Kasumi really cool and that she likes having an older sister, and that their mom talks about Kasumi like she put the moon in the sky, and that their mothers are looking for her right now, too. (Kasumi tells Michiko to catch her breath.) They've been close with each other since. Michiko is one of the very few people who can make Kasumi embarrassed.
