Baelfire, son of the late Draxotl and Fatismae, was born of a clan far beyond his current home. He once knew of plague, and the havoc it could reek, the illness it cursed his former home with. The very land itself was plagued and evident of rot. During a particularly harsh season, he left his home voluntarily, and wandered into the Tangled Wood in an effort to escape the sickness. He was found by a Snapper named Cherrycrumble, who urged him to join Teres Obfucia. The two grew close enough to become mates, baring hatchlings using dragon magic. Baelfire respected the Snapper's decision to leave relationships behind her, and remains close to his daughter Arken. He soon rose to the position of Plague Representative for his clan, due to his knowledge of the terrain and the Scarred Wasteland in general. He often visits on diplomatic business and observes changes. Recently, he attempted to visit the lair of his former clan, only to find nothing where their lair used to be. Baelfire is concerned for the fate of his mother, but puts his clan first, nevertheless. The Pearlcatcher isn't exactly fond of other dragons, but he's never been rude. His ambition and decisiveness led him to be the prime candidate for his current position, and no one dared question when was cast as Plague Representative. His days as a hatchling under Fatismae led him to become cynical, a mindset that formulated in the heart of rotted land. It has clung to him, much to his dismay, long after he left the Scarred Wasteland. He's trying his best to see the world in a kinder light.
