Biography
- glowing or primal
lore brainstorming:
- she is a manifestation of countless, lost, soul remnants of those who had died during bitter cold winters, blizzards, and snowstorms.
- because of this existence, she instinctively aimlessly wanders the silent and smothering snowscapes in search of others who are lost in order to help lead them to safety, give them shelter and protection until it is safe to venture once more, or if it is already too late, to provide company and comfort to the lost soul as they pass and become one with her after death.
- a bittersweet manifestation of fear, loss, but also comfort, knowing that even if one is to die alone, they won't fully be alone, and if they are to survive, that the souls of those who already were lost are there to keep them safe and save them from the fate they all shared.
- for the longest time she was seen as an omen, often misunderstood as a malevolent snow-banshee of sorts. That was until the stigma was lifted once more was learned about her, and understanding revealed she was indeed benevolent, albeit of a sad origin (but one that now brings both comfort and hope along with the sadness)
- like a ghost, she appears in the dark silence of the frozen tundra, found most often in places with high tree density (such as snowfallen coniferous forests in the mountains) where it either silences the wind or obscures it into twisted whistles and howls.
- very few have actually seen her fully, most only hear her or feel her presence during cold winter nights, or merely catching a glimpse of her haunting, sorrowful and silent shadow form.
