Biography
Lore brainstorming:
- Unusual and rare occurrence of a giant Fae after constant exposure to Necrotic influences that resulted in hyperactive mutations and growth
- she outgrew her original body but still is kept within it; that is, her bones continued to grow and grow, where the rest of her physical form could not and thus, had wasted away
- she finds herself constantly going through "growing pains" with each shed (which also results in more loss of body mass and more bone growth)
- this is why she is constantly covering her body in a tattered cloak and other wrappings; both to keep her remaining frame protected, as well as out of fear of others seeing her in this state
- her body is now mostly comprised of just her skeleton.
- due to the unstable state of her body, she is constantly repairing her wings so that she can still fly.
- Thus, why she is known as "The Threadbarer", as she is constantly re-threading the torn and lost membranes of her wings (as well as her constant repair and upkeep of her salvaged and makeshift garments)
- due to all of this, she has also become an excellent "Tailor" of sorts, although she jokes she has little experience with working on tails as opposed to wings. Her acquaintances have learned that it's best to just refer to her as a "Seamstress" instead (in order to avoid her corny jokes). She agrees that she probably does seem pretty stressed with her all her duties running her ragged (which often results in a combination of concern and exasperated responses from the begrudging amusement of her peers).
- despite her somewhat childish and jokester tendencies, she is still a well respected master of her craft and recognized within the plague flight (and it's relatively well known community of Stitchers).
- she mainly specializes in traditional fabrics, clothing, and linens (except in a more makeshift way, as is also seen as the "plague style" outside of the flight).
- she also specializes in wing repair (as she has had plenty of practice with upkeeping her own). However, this is the only physical area of the body she is comfortable and experienced with working on. Fortunately, her nimble practice with woven garments makes it easier for her to work on the delicate wings of dragons as a whole. And despite being much larger than she used to be, she still has the advantage of being a smaller breed of dragon to take advantage of her lighter and nimble build for her area of expertise.
- she uses her long and nimble claws as her tools as she weaves and sews (she considers this the one "upside" to her hyper-growth and mutations, valuing and taking care of her long, needle-like claws)
- dragons often say it feels like it "tickles" when she works on them.
- she is still able to fly. Despite how torn and incomplete her wings always are, she is stubborn and tries to keep on what's left of her original wings (luckily she can still fly with magic).
