To begin with, Reed set out to find her Paradise, she had grown tired of the mundane day-to-day of her previous clan. She wanted more, something different, new!
Fae Dragons are social creatures and she found herself becoming lonely and depressed on her travels. 
As if the Gods had heard her silent pleas a strange dragon fell into her path...wounded.
His name was Hotfang (so he told her) and he had been in a fight and left to die by his brethren.

Reed cared for him as best she could over the course of 3 weeks, slowly the two of them became friends.
Reed shared with Hotfang her dreams of finding her own Clan...a mixed Clan which to her own kind was an odd thought, as it was to Hotfang but as she talked about it he grew more and more accepting of it. 
There was a problem though, to have a clan you needed a place for the Clan to lay their head so the two of them travelled for many many months before they found themselves in the domain of the Stormcatcher...a harsh but beautiful land.
Reed Took to the sky and choose a small piece of land that had a beautiful view across the land and at night...lights a beautiful rainbow of lights colouring the sky. This was the start of the Desert Lights Clan.
