The Scourge of All Enlightenment
Clever, secretive, and manipulative
Shiningscourge has succeeded. She had entered Seeking Clan's territory with one purpose; to protect the land's precious secrets. She didn't like how close Nightbane was to uncovering them, so she took matters into her own claws. She and her mate, Erebus manipulated and lied to any dragon who they viewed as weak minded. They promised what those dragons wanted most and played with their feelings. Shining had waited until Sapphiremoon made her assassination attempt on Nightbane before she launched her own attack. She had killed Sapphiremoon and would have killed Nightbane, if it wasn't for Nike interfering. The blind dragon was full of determination and Shining was forced to back off. She now bares scars on her left wing from Nike. A fire broke through the clan, and Shining believes all of Nightbane's research was burned. But whatever research Nightbane might still have isn't a concern to Shining. She already had what she wanted. She can now protect what the land hides. She created Clan Lampsi, the Guardians of Secrets. She has turned Aureole into the clan's Guardian Angel. She made her into a Seal, a magical process that turned Aureole's body into stone and converted her magic into an unbreakable shield covering the clan's territory. Shining has taken the sun away, and her dragons are now starving. But Shining does not care. As long as the secrets remain protected she does not care what lives are lost under her rules. The only exceptions are her mate Erebus, and her daughter Wish. But she's not worried about Erebus's life. He knew the risks when he agreed to become her mate. He recognizes his life could be just as disposable as the rest. It's her daughter who Shining is concerned about. It's her daughter who may be even more important than the secrets. Shining despises books. All types of books are forbidden in Lampsi and any that are uncovered are burned. Shining carefully tells her dragons only what they need to hear. She twists the truth in order to make herself look better. Lampsi is a clan of lies. 
Illuminists are dragons loyal to Shiningscourge. They are against free knowledge and enlightenment. They claim that too much knowledge can destroy a dragon. That knowledge in the wrong claws is dangerous. That secrets should stay secrets. They are afraid of the secrets that could be unlocked in the Sunbeam Ruins and advises against trying to unlock them. They want these secrets, amoung other things to stay hidden forever. Though some illuminists don't even fully understand what they're pledging themselves to. Some are only following Shining because of what she promised them. For all the Illuminists know Shining could be lying about everything, and instead have her own unknown motives. An outdated concept.
