* Came to the Ashfall Wastes in search of his charge at a young age. Was taught a dying method of forging by Warmund, who was younger then, and given a temporary home with he and his wife before he could build his own.
* Became a master of the forge and the ancient art he was taught, crafting tools and armor to draw dragons to his shop. He took any dragon that was a smithy themselves and was interested in his methods in as an apprentice to keep the art alive.
* The ancient method itself was very effective at creating some of the most strong and reliable tools and armor in Sornieth, a process rumored to be created by the ancient wyverns of the wastes. Various ores and precious gems unique to the area around lava pools and active volcanoes, along with volcanic glass, are combined to create an alloy that is allegedly superior to any other in the land.
* Rook’s business boomed after a while, bringing both other businesses and merchants to set up shop in the area around him; along with them came families and small bands of dragons to settle there. Eventually a small village formed, though it wasn’t yet a clan.
* After a string of devastating attacks on the village by both the Beastlans and hydras, the dragons of the village understood they would need to unite as a clan to survive and drive away their attackers. It was decided that Rook, one of the first to live there and the most trusted dragon among them, would be the one to lead. Since then, the warriors of the village have had no problem warding off the attacks of any outside clan, beast or dragon, and any hydra that dare attack them.
