Zero

Zero made his way towards the hazy blur of greenery before him. His body felt heavier now and his many eyes weary from his travels were all blinking out of sync with each other. He wanted for sleep to lay down his head but his travels had to come first. He would sleep only when he was settled in. He slithered on before finally reaching a small clearing at the edge of the unfamiliar forest. As he approached the clearing his eyes rested on a small pearlcatcher who looked up from her pot and smiled down at him before saying "Welcome at long last young wanderer, come now and sit by the fire. The brew is just about ready now and the others will be here shortly for the ceremony." He did as he was told too tired to question the mysterious dragon who called him over. He had made it to his destination. It was time to sleep.
