Though hatched in the Viridian Labyrinth, Margu was raised in the Scarred Wasteland at the heart of the Sanctuary.

Margu spent much of her childhood working alongside her father, Jesper,, in the gardens, relishing in the strange but lush plantlife. With her kindly attitude, she had plenty of friends and ample food and drink, but still she yearned. For as idyllic as the Sanctuary was, it was only a small part of Sorneith and she wondered of the rest, namely her hatching place: the Viridian Labyrinth. For though her father was a nature dragon, he insisted that they had all they needed in the Sanctuary, but Margu sensed there was more to his story and after some insistence, she learned of the harsh and prejudiced clan Jesper had originated from and how they denounced the Scarred Wasteland.

Shocked, Margu asked why they would say such hateful things.

Jesper explained that the warring between the Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer had soured relations between the flights beyond repair, but Margu disagreed. She argued that her mother, Blossom, enjoyed a full life within the Viridian Labyrinth, but Jesper reminded Margu that she was a water dragon and not filled with the same notions as nature dragons. Margu then pointed out her own father's heritage and how he was able to overcome his misconceptions, but Jesper frowned. For he was only so open because he traveled and she could not expect that same openness from others.

Finally, Margu reminded Jesper of the Seedscar, remnants of a massive tree that once housed many nature dragons within the Scarred Wasteland. Though it had been many years since a nature dragon last stepped foot there, it still stood against the contagion. So long as it stood, perhaps peace could still be fine.

To that, Jesper admitted her point and promised that he would support her, whatever she decided.

The next day, Margu ventured to the Seedscar. Most of the plants had withered and died, but Margu found some seeds beneath a dusty cover. They were long dormant but not yet dead. She took what she could find and brought them to the Sanctuary's gardens. She asked Jesper if he could assist her in making the seeds bloom. For her own breath was not strong enough but if they worked together, perhaps the seed would grow.

Jesper agreed and together, they used their breath to make the seed grow into a beautiful iris. They did the same to each seed and formed a vibrant bouquet.

Margu gathered these flowers and once more asked for Jesper's aid. This time in mapping the route to his old clan.

Though reluctant, Jesper agreed and marked the location and the passage he took through Dragonhome.

Margu thanked him and the next morning she set off.

Though her journey was long, she trekked with little difficulty and soon found the Viridian Labyrinth. She sought out Jesper's former clan and requested an audience.

Seeing a fellow nature dragon, the clan happily accepted, and it was then that Margu presented the bouquet, announcing it as a gift from the Seedscar.

Jaws dropped and Margu bowed her head gratefully. She turned to make her leave, but one of the dragons called out.

The leader commented that Margu must have had a tiring journey and she should not set out again until she ate and rested. They invited her to dine with them and stay the night to which Margu accepted most graciously.

That night, Margu enjoyed good food and company, and the following morning, the clan gifted her a pack of leafy meals to last her the journey home. They also told her should she venture into the Viridian Labyrinth again, there would always be a space for her.

Margu thanked them and returned to the Sanctuary with her head held high.

Every season, Margu repeats her trek to the Viridian Labyrinth with offerings from the Seedscar. Though relations are still tense, she believes that one day, it will be her turn to host the nature dragons and she could introduce old and new friends alike. Until then, she tends to the Seedscar, ensuring the mighty tree stay standing.
