Biography
Born shortly before the fight that divided their clan, Jadeite was born to Emeraldwings and Shinehorns, a loving mother and a father who wanted nothing to do with them. He'd declared that just minutes after they hatched before marching out, much to Emerald's anger. They were only a day or two old when the fight happened, and though they were really too young to figure out what it was about, they could tell it was bad. Seeing their mother's face all bloody was more than enough to scare them.
Their father had made an attempt, after that, to get the kids on his side by bringing them all sorts of gifts, though they all were clearly stolen. Half of the hatchlings had gladly accepted them, leaving with him when their father was exiled, while the other half stayed.
Though she loved her mother dearly, she didn't want to stay; the change in her mother's behavior and the rest of the clan made an uncomfortable environment, so after a few nights, she set off with a bag made by Athena, who'd discovered her plans when she accidentally fell in. Athena had seemed very sad, but she didn't try to stop her. She wore a necklace given to her by Emerald, a simple darksteel one, as well as her familiar, a particularly large set of Spirit Armor, but had very little other than that.
She ran out of food at the edge of the Twisted Woods, but still kept moving.. That was, until she encountered the Emperor. She was terrified by it, was quick to flee, though it tried to chase her. She eventually managed to make her way towards the port of Lanternlea, where she saw a massive palace. She waddled up to the palace gates and started making as much noise as she could.
---
After being adopted and becoming a princess, she still does not contact her mother, though it eats away at her heart and makes her feel so, so guilty. She isn't even sure what she'd say. She just hopes when she does make contact that her mother forgives her.
