Mynara - The Cursed
undecided affiliation | blood royal Mynara is one of the oldest and most mysterious members of the Updraft Knot clan. The only one older than her is Master Mage Marken. She was friends with Trill long before anyone else. She's told few much about her outside of her doctors and Oleron her former mate, and all he knows is that she's refers to her former family as "the blood royals". Given her birthplace in the Scarred Wasteland that title sent shivers down Oleron's spine.
Friendships
Mynara is always covered in mysterious scratches and wounds that don't heal up without much attention from the healers. She's close friends with Marblewight, Clarion, and Marken and though they wouldn't tell anyone, they know that she is cursed. Somehow she was cursed so the slightest chaffing causes her pain, the littlest scratch made her bleed. But she has learned to tolerate her curse. She visits Marblewight every day to change her bandages and apply salve to her weary skin. Every week she has an appointment with Clarion so he can help her manage her chronic pain in a healthy way so it does not drive her insane. Monthly she and Marken together renew the spell written on her body to protect it from bleeding out. The four of them working together keep her relatively happy and healthy. |

Relationships
She and Oleron were together for a very long time. But they had a rather lonely relationship. Oleron is obsessed with his work and Mynara spends a good deal of time trying to keep herself alive, so they rarely spent much time together. After the evacuation to the Fortress of Ends she found herself staying in close quarters with her mate for the first time ever in their relationship. And Oleron was crabbier and more bitter than ever before. She found his constant negative presence toxic to her mental health and so she left him. She was saddened to realize that Oleron was so lost in his bitterness over losing his library that he barely noticed she was gone. Before too long a young shining crimson dragon named Belgaer, a brother to the clan's beloved Neartrua, came to live with the Updraft Knot Clan to flee from his former clan's harsh ways and to give intelligence to Trill on what Teovanth's army was planning next. He saw Mynara and saw that beneath her bandages and spellwork scrawled on her skin she was a beautiful and enchanting lady dragon. He saw her regal demeanor in the way she carried herself, her quiet pride in who she was despite her illness, her intelligence born from her age and her compassion and empathy which grew from her own years of pain. He fell in love with her an when he announced his intentions Mynara found herself surprised. She hadn't expected to find another mate again in her lifetime. She wasn't sure how she felt about Belgaer. He was certainly a beautiful young soldier, but she barely knew him outside of the councils he held with the Midnight Army which she occasionally attended. However she decided to take him as a mate as long as he understood she wasn't sure yet if she wanted it to last the rest of her lifetime. He seemed satisfied with any time she was willing to give him. She's finding his strength something to depend on, and something her ex Oleron had always lacked.
