Kaito

Kaito had been very young when they'd ran away from home, shortly after stealing blood from both their father and their aunt. They knew theyd done something very, very bad- their father had been telling them not to since day one, and they'd all seen how horribly it affected him.
They'd fled to the Tidelord's domain, hoping to find refuge in one of the smaller clans dotting the beaches. Before they could get there, they'd collapsed in the Driftwood Drag, and had blacked out.
They'd woken up out in the middle of the open ocean, looking more like a sea monster than they did a dragon. Massive teeth and large fins, and gills on his neck. it was very strange. They'd never been taught how to swim, yet it came naturally to them, and they seemed to be having little to no issues with it.
When they shook themselves off and looked around them, they noticed a path of destruction that made their stomach drop. There were the remnants of destroyed ships- and more than enough splinters in their mouth to indicate they'd caused it. They also saw lots and lots of half-eaten fish, and several.. dragons.
They quickly swam away, unable to handle the destruction they'd caused. They immediately set off to find some way to fix what they'd done, seeking spiritual help, magical help and physical help. Anything to tame the beast inside.
From then on, they spent all their time trying desperately to cure it, though every time they blacked out, they went into a frenzy searching for more blood. They kept getting hurt very badly- and they'd met more than enough beast hunters. They'd encountered a Maren shark hunter, who had attacked right at the end of their frenzy, when they grew weak and started to wake up. They'd barely managed to convince them not to attack, and had even befriended them.
