Adonis was created from arcane magic, dark arcane magic. Adonis was created by the Arcanist himself. A mistake the Arcanist will forever live to regret. Adonis was an experimental creation, an immortal demi-god that can dream walk and enter the mind of others. In his dreams, Adonis can control anything and everything.In his dreams, he can change anything he choses, he can change the location, the temperature, and the dragons in it. However, his power doesn't end there. Adonis can enter the mind of other dragons, by doing so, he can see their memories. By entering another dragons mind, he can control the other dragons dreams. The Arcanist thought this would be a fun, harmless experiment. But he couldn't have been more wrong. The more and more Adonis dream walked into other dragons minds, thoughts and memories... he realized how corrupted these dragons were. So many dragons had horrible, terrible secrets. He mostly dream walked into Arcane soldier's dreams, and he seen things he wished he never had. He had seen these dragons kill other dragons. He had seen them torture other dragons. And when these same dragons return home, they act as if everything is normal, and they have no remorse for their actions. He had seen dragons keep the most awful, horrible secrets, such as stealing from others, cheating on their partners and manipulating others to get what they desire most. Pushing his power even further, he found he can dream walk into the Arcanists dreams. He found the most horrible things, he found that the Arcanist had killed, lied, made horrible, horrible mistakes, such as opening the Forbidden Portal, starting wars, etc. Then Adonis realized something. ALL dragons were corrupt.... Even the deities. Adonis was horrified that the Arcanist, even though he had made hundreds, if not thousands of horrible mistakes, was still praised and worshiped. They all NEEDED to be punished. By dream walking into other dragons dreams, he SHOWED these dragons how terrible they were. He forcibly showed them their mistakes, their sins, and their lies. He forced them to relive their darkest and most horrible moments. He made them suffer all over again for their actions. And with his own experimenting, he found he could even KILL in his dream walking state. They deserved it, for their sins. he thought to himself. All around the Crystal Isles, dragons were reporting horrible nightmares and were reporting mysterious deaths. Some dragons were split in half, some beheaded, some were left to bleed out, all to pay for their horrible mistakes. All the deaths were seemingly random, the victims were seen as "innocent" and "harmless" to their friends and family, but Adonis knew the truth, and Adonis made them suffer for it. He was even able to dream walk into the Arcanists dreams. He forced the arcane deity to see and relive his horrible mistakes, he showed him how twisted, dark and evil the deity was. He forced the deity to see how terrible and corrupted he was, just like the mortal dragons, and how he didn't deserve his high status or his praise and worship. When the Arcanist woke, he dared not to speak to Adonis, he avoided him completely after that horrible nightmare. The Arcanist was afraid of his own creation. But not for long. After a few more weeks of Adonis's brutal murders and his horrible dream walking, the Arcanist had enough of his silent torture. He forcibly banished Adonis to the Forbidden Portal, where Adonis could no longer torture the his fellow dragons for their mistakes and sins. After that, dragons around the Crystal Isles began spreading rumors and myths about the dead dream walking demigod, they told stories of how he brutally tortured his victims and forced them to relive their darkest moments. Over the decades, Adonis's legend still lives on. Still to this day, young dragons are horrified of the long dead demigod. But hey, its just a legend, right? Adonis has been long dead, right?.... Wrong. Despite the very limited odds, Adonis lived. He somehow managed to survive in the Forbidden Portal for hundreds of years, seeing the most monstrous, horrifying, disgusting, yet most interesting creatures that had ever been seen by dragon kind. Somehow, Adonis was able to escape the Forbidden Portal, and he now roams Sorneith once again, more furious and more powerful than ever. Nearly 1,000 years after his banishment, the immortal, dream walking demigod walks among Sorneith once again. All around Sorneith, dragons are yet again reporting mysterious deaths and horrible nightmares. Rumors quickly began spreading about Adonis and how he somehow came back from the dead, but many dragons brush that thought off, claiming its just... "bad luck." or a "coincidence." |
