Kayerith had to learn humility at a young age. While Taenth watched over him like one of her own, Onyx scarely looked at the boy, and Obsidian would constantly harass him for his plain appearance. As such, he has become polar to Obsidian, too embarrassed to look into mirrors and too quiet and shy to ever hope to woo a mate. He often experiences jealousy towards the other dragons that live along him in the lair and has become reserved and solitary. He spends most of his time dreaming of being reborn, as a magnificent dragon with gleaming scales and diamond jewels plastered across his entire coat.

Even though he had drawn reclusive, he always took faith in Taenth. The smiles they would exchange would give him the will to live out the day. She made him feel less alone.
His head spun when she came in one night, after being gone all day. He didn't recognize her - how could he?! She was a fae!
He'd never felt so betrayed. She smiled at him and flew a loop in the air, asking, "Aren't I pretty now?"
