Belle
scavenger | vain | morbid | obsessive mate: Berosty | PAIR RANGE The aptly titled, "Belle of the Wasteland," Belle takes great pride in her appearance. To most coatls, her fading plumage and goat eyes suggest sickness, but within the Scarred Wasteland, she is lauded a great beauty. For her ability to thrive in illness make her a desirable mate, and she is often ruffling her feathers and batting her eyes for her many admirers. With so many suitors, Belle is often spoiled with gifts and trinkets. Her favorites lean towards the macabre such as intact bone pieces, monster loot, and even discarded claws. Though she rarely gives other dragons the time of day, she is happy to accept these gifts and even ventures outside the Sanctuary to add to her collection. Her favorite locations and caves and abandoned nests where she decorates herself with the spoils: the horns of a fallen beast, a spider's webbing, and dried flower petals. Only occasionally will she share the spoils, preferring to hoard them for herself. However, as her hoard grew, she was still unsatisfied. Her ventures eventually took her outside of the Scarred Wasteland and into the Tangled Wood where she found her greatest discovery in the form of a mysterious fae. He dwelt in an unknown cave and only eked by. With decaying wings and exposed bone, he appeared more dead than alive, but when he noticed Belle, he moved and spoke like any other. He introduced himself as Berosty:a fallen prince. He had been exalted for treason and left for dead, only to survive the brink. He told of vengeance against his treacherous mother and hopes to take her throne. His tale enthralled Belle and she promised to visit again. In the weeks that followed, Belle visited Berosty, fascinated by his plight, and eventually that fascination evolved into love. Eventually, she welcomed Berosty into her nest and they hatched a single daughter: Evita. Her hatching renewed Berosty's vigor, and he swore that he would have his revenge and make Belle his queen. He promised his treasures and trinkets beyond compare. In turn, Belle promised to wait for him to see his revolution through to the end. For now, Belle remains at the Sanctuary, caring for Evita, and dreaming of a throne to call her own, surrounded by endless spoils befitting a queen.
