Mary

Straight from the ooze, full of poisons, rot, and decay.

Mary was birthed from the ooze as a perfect image of the plague mothers spawn. When she crawled out and her many eyes saw the world she knew that she must explore and venture. The land of plague was beautiful, the rim of rot hard to climb out of but as she traveled out and seen the lands of bones and desecration she felt a shiver of delight slide down her spine. There was so much of the world! She could see the land going far beyond, the flaming star in the sky setting so the night could show, she found herself venturing to the horizon into that flame.

Dripping with a secretion at all times she prefers to crawl rather than fly. She had a smaller size and she didn't seem to be growing. She seen many of the others were larger than her, but she new this must be plague mothers design. She would never guide her wrong. She scurried through bones and dust for many days before she could smell a something other than rot, decay, the sick sweetness of her own scales. She was mesmerized by this new sweet scent and eventually she seen new colors!

A rich blue like the sky was on the ground as well. She heard a new rhythmic sound that tickled her ears. And the green turned from a sickly pale that Mary was accustom to to a richer fresh green. Mary scuttered forth always curious and never scared to learn new things. It was a high climb to reach the the cliffs and she couldn't easily reach the green, but she could reach the blue! As Mary reach the blue, watching it slowly hit the earth, turning white before flowing back she knew she must touch it.

Her slimy paw touched the water and she gasped as the liquid splashed her. She backed away quickly and checked her paw. Though she was immune to the toxic waste that was in her own land she wasn't sure what this liquid would do to her. She glanced at her paw and seen that she was fine. Her slime had cleared off for a moment showing her yellow scales that glint in the sun before coating again.

All of her many eyes were focusing hard on this before she heard a deep chuckle coming from the blue liquid. She swung on head away from her paw as she kept her eyes on her immaculate scales that were slowly being coated again by her oozing mucus. She gazed upon a large dragon peaking his head above the water as he got on the shore, the humor glimmering in his eyes as he watched Mary.
