Phaedra

A sly and crafty vampire, Phaedra has been around almost as long as vampirism has been. She’s helped to build up a society of like-minded individuals who also prowl the night. Phaedra does not claim to the most powerful vampire, but then, she has never met one stronger than her. When immortality loses its appeal, Phaedra begins to seek ways to cure her vampirism. But the society she has crafted has strict rules.

Phaedra admired the leaf cupped within her claws. It was small, unassuming - a typical looking green leaf in the shape of an oval. Nothing about it would strike as remarkable, but to her it was something beyond compare. She wore a dreamy smile, lost in contemplation of the little leaf.

"Phaedra?"

She gave no initial reply to her name being called, so enthralled was she.

"Phaedra!"

Her smile fading away, she turned a sharp eye to the dragon who called her attention. The leaf was tucked into a satchel at her side. "Yes?"

She listened as the dragon began droning on about something or another, but every now and then her thoughts drifted back to the leaf. It had taken some time to find, but it was the first of many steps she had found to cure the vampirism. To return to how she once was. And for that it was precious.
