Cure had known, since the moment she opened her eyes, that she was different then her brothers.
They all had their mothers green eyes, and their fathers dark reds and browns, but she was the only one with any green on her scales. And even more than colors, she had no idea what she was meant to do.
Between confident, jokester Antibody, the dragon who wanted to make others smile and laugh, and shy, anxious Nematode who would rather spend time with bugs and toads than other dragons, Cure had been at a loss as to what her place should be in her family. It took her a long time to discover her purpose.
She knew her brothers before they did.
Antibody, to entertain.
Nematode, to educate.
But Cure? Where did she fall?
After years of doing it with out seeing, after an incident where Cure had been the one to assemble a rescue party for a lost hatchling, she had glimpsed herself in a ponds reflection, wings pointing and she sent dragons to different places, and the ones remaining staring at her with rapt attention.
She saw it then. What she was doing, what she has always done.
What she was meant to do.
She has always been a balance, between her parents, between her brothers.
Confidence like Antibody, care like Nematode, conviction like her mother, and optimism from her father.
She was meant to direct, to help where she could, bring order out of the chaos.
Cure was meant to lead.
