어떤 나라를 다스리던 여왕이 있었어.
여왕은 아주 화려하고 아름다운 외모를 지녔는데, 마찬가지로 화려하고 아름다운 것도 좋아했지.
어느 날 여왕은 결혼을 해야겠다고 생각했어.
곳곳에 여왕이 신랑을 구한다는 소문이 퍼졌고 온갖 것을 지닌 자들이 여왕을 찾아갔지.
어떤 이는 세상을 지배할 수도 있는 강력한 군대를 주겠다고 했어.
어떤 이는 무엇이든 살 수 있는 엄청난 금은보화를 주겠다고 했지.
어떤 이는 자신뿐만 아니라 다른 수 많은 첩도 함께 데려오겠다고 했지.
그 때 마지막 한 명이 아무 것도 들고 있지 않은 빈 손으로 여왕의 앞에 나섰어.
모두가 그를 비웃었지. 그는 아름답기는 했지만 가진 것은 아무 것도 없어 보였거든.
여왕이 그에게 자신에게 무엇을 줄 수 있냐고 물었어.
그가 대답했지. 저 자신을 드리겠습니다.
그는 아주 고운 리본으로 자신의 몸을 묶어 치장하고 있었어.
여왕은 빙그레 웃었고, 둘은 결혼식을 올렸다고 해.
