Biography
Everyone in town knew about the sign in the middle of the woods. It was set next to a pile of stones forming a kind of rough cave in the middle of a clearing in the trees, and read "delivry for coin". The messenger was seldom to be seen, but any packages left there reliably found where they were meant to go much faster than the coach service in town could do. It was only a shame about the patch of itching brambles and thorny creeper between the village and the clearing. Still, there were more than enough oh-no-it's-my-mother-in-law's-birthday deliveries to justify the trip, and one local shepherd relied on the prompt, no-fuss service for delivering specialty dairy goods to the entire region.
Larceny's delivery business suited the dragon perfectly. He got to fly around as fast as he wanted, picking up packages that jingled and crinkled and, sometimes, oozed. He never looked in them; imagining what could be inside was far more interesting, and anyway it was the flying he really liked. And the coins. He probably would have started fetching and carrying for free, but Arson had pointed out that the humans would probably give him coin for it, and he liked coins. It didn't bother him at all that sometimes instead of coins there were shiny stones, or little beribboned figures of dragons or sheep.
