Biography
"Liiiiiifffeeeee.... is sSsooo easily... created, corrupted, and... ttttorn awAay..."
A bogeyman, more a myth than a legend, whose tale is often told to young Arcane dragons as a warning of what happens when you go too far.
As the story goes, Ilith was a mage who became enamored with the power of magic, spending her every waking moment channeling it through her body, studying it, hoping to gain some sort of understanding over this force. If she could understand how the arcane energies flowed through the universe, she supposed, she could potentially forsee future events, shape the planet, even create new life.
But she lost control. The arcane energies flowing through her eventually took over, warping her into something more magic than dragon. And eventually, she fell apart.
Some say that she's still out there, seeking her goals, even though she now only exists as a mass of pure energy. Others say that's nonsense; for all intents and purposes, she should be dead.
Either way, her tale still lives on, and mages with less than clean purposes are still known to call upon her as a "spirit of inspiration".
--
Recently, journals have been discovered that supposedly belonged to Ilith, speaking of experiments performed on various Fae and relating to a a certain rumor.
The journals, which were originally discovered nearby Onyx's birthplace, are currently in the possession of the alchemist Crawford, and remain part of her personal collection.
