Gems and glitters, ribbons, gilded spoons, glass pieces, beads, book scraps, screws and gears... Dead insects? An old, striped sock?? It all falls out onto the table with various sounds as the Spiral flips her battered backpack upside down. A small opal orb rolls slowly on a flat surface and wants to fall down, but she manages to catch it with her tail and, like an acrobat, curls it so that the orb would roll down from her tail over her shoulder into her paw. She brings the orb up to her big eyes and giggles, twirling it between her claws. "Well? How much I'd get? A hundred, maybe a thousand gold coins, even!? Only the highest quality finds from definitely legal sources obtained by my honest labor!", she tilts her head smugly, looking at her traveling companions in anticipation. The Guardian looks at everything laid out in front of her, feeling puzzled and frowns her scales, "Do you want an honest or optimistic answer?" "What do you mean by that?!", she gasps while clenching the poor orb. “Lungwart means that we ain't getting a single copper from this. And the only hopeful forecast is that, well, maybe gem pieces will sell for a ridiculously small amount”, snorts the Nocturne, looking up from her diary entries for a moment. "PARDON ME!?", The Spiral hits the table so hard that even more items fall off, and the bulky Guardian has to bend over to pick them up, "THESE ARE THE RAREST OF TREASURES! HOW DARE YOU UNDERESTIMATE OUR FUTURE RICHES!!!" Buckwheat rolls her eyes and continues to scratch the paper with a feather, "You say that every time, you know." "AND EVERY TIME MY FINDINGS ARE GROWING IN PROFIT!" "By profit you mean that mountain of crystals and other, err, treasures you have for a bed?" Lungwart asks softly, trying to arrange the knick-knacks into little piles. "THESE ARE MY INVESTMENTS WHICH ARE WAITING FOR THEIR HOUR OF IMPLEMENTATION!!!" "Ah, I see..", The Guardian tried to place a piece of amber on the top of one of the piles, but it rolled back onto the table. "Well, good luck with sales, then. I'm off to rest.", Buckwheat slammed her diary shut, and with a single flap of her wings soared under the roof of the tavern, to the surprise of the guests next to the party. "Oh I'll show you!! I'll show everyone!!! Someday I'll find something that you'll all be jealous of! AND IT WILL BE VERY SOON, I ASSURE YOU!!! And no-one will call my precious little things trash anymore!!!", Venture angrily shook her empty backpack and scooped everything that was on the table back into it. Then the Spiral slipped under the table to the door and flew out of it into the night. Lungwart was left alone in low whispering around her. Sighing wearily, she looked down at the table and grunted. "Oh no, she forgot the sock..."
