Skadi doesn't care at all for the gaoler's mission to contain the shade. She never did. All Skadi has ever wanted was to experience the thrill of the hunt- to seek the unknown, to track and chase and find all the wonders of the world. Skadi was the first gaoler to raise a shaggy paw and volunteer to become a seeker. In truth Skadi doesn't care what it is she is seeking as long as she is able to seek. Skadi very easily gave up her mission to search for the Shade in order to do as she pleased.

Skadi isn't exactly choosy about her jobs; toss her a few coins and she will relentlessly seek out anything you want her to find. She takes contracts from all around Sornieth. She has taken on search-and-rescue missions, private investigations, journeys to uncover ancient artifacts, and occasionally the odd job to find someone's missing glasses or runaway familiar.
