Tirao leads his clan with a strong, steady perseverance focused on the growth and well-being of its members. Even though his focus is maintaining a physically strong clan, he values knowledge and innovation, recognizing these are essential to a thriving clan. As the "different ones" have wandered into the surrounding area, cast out by their own clans due to their strange genes and colors, Tirao quickly recognized their potential value to his own clan and these dragons are now an integral part of his clan.
Tirao is most comfortable in the areas where the training of the young warriors takes place. He is a fierce warrior himself and a demanding trainer. He recognizes the safety of his clan is dependent upon strong warriors. It is an honor to be chosen to train as a warrior and defend the clan in battle. Some of these warriors go on to serve the Tidelord which brings honor to their families and the clan.
