The intertwined beasts of the south, Sleipnir and Vargr, have always been at odds. Their differences have always been too great, despite their shared curse binding them together; every meeting has been a careful dance of resentment and curiosity. Their children together were a great experiment between the two, and their children have always suffered from it. This nest is no different; the clutch came to life underneath the June full moon, the hatchlings bumbling over each other in their race to be the first to escape their nest which had, inadvertently, become something of a cage for them. Vargr, ever-dutiful yet too proud, scorned the hatchlings as mere beasts like him and his mate, and left them to their own devices. Sleipnir, ever-wandering yet too curious, ignored the hatchlings entirely in favor of playing underneath the light of the full moon. As they left the nest, the hatchlings were guided by nothing but the stars. The Lone Wolf, Libra. Libra, last-hatched and most beloved of her nestmates, did not stray far from her parents in her youth. She followed her mother's footsteps, learning to run as fast as the wind and twice as silently. She learned how her father tracked, and taught herself how to track better than he ever could. Libra taught herself, wholly and knowingly, how to become a beast. What a beast she became. She left her parents domain and staked out a new territory, all of her own. Libra has never played well with others, apart from her parents, and even then she'd become snappish and irritable towards them too. Libra threw herself fully into becoming a wolf, ignoring her dragon aspects entirely, until it no longer mattered. Many muttered in the nearby towns that a mad Imperial had taken to the woods, but others argued in angry, tiny voices that the thing in the woods is clearly a wolf, nothing more. Whatever it is, it has a taste for dragon blood, and it's best left alone.
