Playful and mysterious, Volans comes off as a very whimsical being. Observing for years it seems, he seems to connect with those he interacts with almost instantly; like he's known them for eons. Somewhat waggish, this Obelisk has become a very interesting addition to the clan. Despite the assumptions made of his history and how it ties to the Aurigapelago, he holds no reverence or seems to expect any. Most say Volans appeared either in the stars, or from the reflection of them in the water. The Obelisk was supposedly spotted several times over the years, almost like a cryptid in both places. Generations watched the odd dragon dance in the sky and water, and now he’s shown himself and decided to stay with those he was watching. Some believe he’s the one who brought everyone here, in one way or another. Gathering those he deemed potential in, and now yearns for their friendship.

With him, he brings knowledge of the ocean and the stars; an expert navigator of both. Now, he leads the fishing parties and any expeditions that tend to go out farther than the known land. When he isn’t doing those he’s either in the sea or sky on his own, finding that to be his main home.
