A cavern is opened to the west. There's enough space to start building; the expedition leader was a student of the Arcanist, and begins to smooth the walls to construct a library in the cavern.
The library is host to a strange being of shimmering rainbow hues; a laughing, strange entity that is mage of the magic that can be researched here. The Shimmering Colors will grant the expedition leader a boon; the first hostile beast that the warriors cannot defeat, it shall sway to help instead of hinder.

Below the library, a wealth of treasure; an abandoned mine with gold and gems. It was not a wise choice to begin to dig deeper, when the earth holds unknown dangers... but no one got ahead in life by playing it safe. Besides; there's magic that will keep us safe.

A dormitory is built, allowing the library to host more students- on account of not needing to host them all.

A room to the west of the library is opened up. It is converted into a storehouse, much to the chagrin of the mages that have already begun to arrive. Far too noisy!
